It seems there is serious coaching material in the former Manchester United ace…
True, they call them rams, that’s the club’s nickname, but Wayne Rooney’s boys fight like real lions. What they’re doing, especially in the last forty days, really deserves all the respect. So why not the point: it seems the former Manchester United ace has serious coaching potential.
Derby entered this season written off, with minus 21 on the table due to financial difficulties, and here’s the half-season ending with a decent 10 points. Of course the Pride Park team is still last in the table, but the fact that the first team is above the 11-step mark could make the race for survival in Champinship very interesting in the new year.
If we add 21 (as many as Derby was taken away) the Rams would have a safe place in the middle of the table, with a serious chance of attacking the playoffs. Now, they’re left to believe that they can go to one of the greatest miracles in the history of island football, and survival after -21 would certainly represent that.
The derby has been shining in the last month and a half. He beat leaders Bournemouth, played out a draw with Fulham, to tie three triumphs against teams seen by experts (this summer) in the group of top-ranked candidates. First the weapon was laid in front of him by Blackpool, then West Bromwich Albion and finally tonight Stoke – 2-1!
As it was three days ago against the VBA, veteran Kazim Richards (35) grew up in the hero. It took him less than 60 seconds after he stepped onto the field to score for a big win. He has now entered the game in the 63rd minute. and for the great joy of the guests shook the net five minutes before the end.
Derby led by a goal from 19-year-old Luke Plendge, while Tom Innes made it 1-1.
Rooney’s next match (January 3rd) could be one of the key. It’s a clash with Redding, who is currently first above the line…
