Rangnick: "This is Premier League football, everyone plays all or nothing"

Manchester and Burnley are putting the curtain on this year.

Manchester United interim manager Ralph Rangnick says his team must have solutions in and out of possession, which he expects to be a direct and physical test with Burnley tonight.

United are in desperate need of a win after the 1-1 draw with Newcastle and will try to get to it in front of their own fans after three weeks.

Rangnick said his team expects a tough match against Sean Dyche’s team.

“Again, this is going to be a physically gruelling match. Burnley are a very direct, very physically demanding team and we have to have solutions against that, both on and off the ball.”

And they’re a team like Newcastle, fighting for a naked life in the Premier League and they’re going to play all-or-nothing.

“Yes, but this is Premier League football, most teams play like that, even when I’ve watched games, it’s physically demanding football. We have to accept that and be able to compete at that level.”

He commented on the end game against Newcastle three days ago.

“At half-time we lost 1-0 and at the time it didn’t look like we were coming back, and we came back. And in the end we had a chance to win and that was a good thing. The team was showing a reaction on the field. But there are more details, there’s still a lot of work to do,” Rangnick finished.

The match between Manchester United and Burnley is on tonight from 9pm.
