Marcus Rashford quick to condemn Cristiano Ronaldo dressing-room clique talk

Marcus Rashford has dismissed talk of unrest in the Manchester United camp and asked the media to “stop looking for divides”.

With United struggling for form under new interim boss Ralf Rangnick, a number of leaks from the dressing room have emerged. But the latest speculation has been lambasted by Rashford. The England man has been quick to jump on talk that Cristiano Ronaldo is creating a split in the United dressing room.

The Portugal star was back among the goals on Tuesday after scoring in the 2-0 win over Brighton. His superb strike ended a run of six games without a goal. While Bruno Fernandes added a second in stoppage time as United saw off Brighton 2-0.

But a new report on Wednesday from German outlet Bild claimed United’s English players are irked with Ronaldo.

Christian Falk claimed “players like Harry Maguire, Marcus Rushford & Co are irritated that Ronaldo wants to lead the dressing room with his own clique. there is a risk of a split in the team Man Utd”.

Rashford though, who was a late sub on Tuesday night, has condemned the talk.

He tweeted: “Are we just making it up as we go along now then? Please stop looking for divides.”
