Former Brazilian footballer Cissinho recalled a period from the beginning of his career in Europe.

In 2006, he was 16. arrived at Madrid’s Real, and had an offer from another great – Manchester United – on the table.

However, to come to the Spanish capital and become part of the galacticos, he was persuaded by compatriot Roberto Carlos.

“I feel sorry for Sir Alex Ferguson, but in 2005, he was a very good man,” he said. Roberto called me and talked me into it. He asked if I’d like to come and play with him on the Galacticos team,” Cissinho wrote on Instagram, adding:

“I was close to going to United, but how could I turn down the opportunity to play with Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Figa, Beckham, Robbie, Raul, Baptiste, Casillas, Ramos, and company?,” the Brazilian asked.

Cissinho played 32 games for Real and had three goals and five assists.

He played for Roma for another five years, and for the rest of his career, he defended the colors of Sao Paulo, Villarreal, Sport Resife, Sivaspor, and Brasilia.
