Conflicting reports on Tottenham’s chances of landing Ousmane Dembele before transfer deadline
Altogether conflicting speculation has surfaced on Monday evening, surrounding the possibility of Tottenham Hotspur sealing a late swoop for Barcelona outcast Ousmane Dembele.
First up comes the claim that Antonio Conte’s squad remains a realistic landing spot for Dembele ahead of the transfer deadline.
Such info comes courtesy of Fernando Polo of Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, who assures that Spurs are a ‘serious option’ for the oft-controversial Frenchman:
Dembélé, opción seria de salida con el Tottenham. Más en @mundodeportivo .

Such claims, however, have since been swiftly shut down elsewhere in the media.
As per transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, there is in fact ‘no chance’ of Dembele taking his talents to north London ahead of the expiration of his Barcelona contract in the summer.
Both club and player are cited as having assured as much on Monday evening:
Again. Ousmane Dembélé and Tottenham is not a possibility for the final hours of the #DeadlineDay. No chance, same message from club and player side. ❌⚪️ #THFC pic.twitter.com/2UmJAdYVJx

Kulusevski in/Gil out
Whilst Dembele, in turn, looks altogether unlikely to add to the personnel options of Antonio Conte amid Spurs’ push for a Champions League berth over the 2nd half of the campaign, it has nevertheless proven a busy deadline day at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to date.
This comes with no fewer than five deals, in and out, having been made official.
In terms of additions to the Lilywhites’ ranks, Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur have both opted to take their talents to the Premier League.
✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus, subject to international clearance and a work permit.
Welcome to Tottenham, Dejan! 🇸🇪

On the departures front, meanwhile, Tanguy Ndombele, Bryan Gil and Giovani Lo Celso have all sealed loan exits for the remainder of the season.
And yet another member of Conte’s ranks looks primed to follow imminently, with Dele Alli understood to be inching towards an altogether complicated free agent Everton switch:
Everton and Tottenham are now signing contracts for Dele Alli deal. Here we go confirmed 🔵🤝 #EFC
Details: free transfer, €12m after 20 games and bonuses for next years.
It could reach €35/40m but of course depends on Dele/team performances.
